Excellent stuff. More marketers need to read and understand this.

And just as importantly, we need you to come back to us! We miss your posts....

Thanks, Janet! I think it gets overwhelming sometimes, because there are so many areas of online marketing. People kinda latch onto email because they understand it since they receive it (as opposed to something more obscure like SEO) but they don't understand how to use it as a marketing tool.

Kinda like me at a Home Depot. "Oh, a hammer, I know how that works"...and there I am banging away on something that probably just needs a little oil to work right.

great article - I will definitely point some of my clients interested in e-mail marketing to this. It sums up what I sometimes have difficulty explaining.

Yes! Your back! We, at least I, missed you. Glad to hear that things seem to be on the upswing now. You are an inspiration and an amusement, so keep the chin held high and . . . ok, I will shut up.

But welcome back, and knock 'em dead.

Off your actual topic (which I think is dead on, btw), but I had to share a few links to Virgin America, Branson's new airline made-for-chic-geeks like you and me. To get you excited - every seat has the regular 110v North American power plugs, just like we have at home. And they work! To get you even further geekcited, every seat has a USB for your beloved iPod (or my beloved iPhone), and an ethernet jack (in-flight broadband, both ethernet and wi-fi, due in a few more months). The entertainment system, linux-based and called Red, has satellite TV, movies, games (Doom!), over 3,000 mp3's and plane-wide chatting - click on the icon of that cute Internet consultant in 17A, and you may be sharing a glass of wine and trading SEO tips in no time.

Check it: http://radar.oreilly.com/archives/2007/07/virgin-america.html

Virgin's rather slick flash-based info page: http://vadifference.virginamerica.com/vadiff/index.html

Cheers!

*cough*UPDATE ALREADY*cough*

Subtle as I'm trying to be, it's been a while eh? Okay sure, sure, I've been slack as well and understand what happens when you get busy but FFS already.

Your friends at Sproutwire are kicking some booty too, that site is awesome and one of my new favourites.

So yeah... I guess I'll just wait to hear from you then. *sits on couch and stares at phone*

The challenge is interesting. I voted for you because according to the site your code has no errors and Naomi's site has 145! Though, Strict has harder rules than Transitional... Sorry, I guess that's kind of a geeky response, eh?

Well Susan,
Fear no more. You got yourselves a new reader driving by your smart comment on Naomi's "heart"blog. Now onto that mud - since we had more than enough rain in the last 6 weeks or so I'm happy to ship you some for a small fee. ;-)

Jeez, I'm so busy reading the awesomness that you've linked to, and signing up for shit, that I barely remembered to come back here and comment in a fashion befitting one of Your Loyal Readers.

Ooooooh, I like that. I like being special.

Your friends rock. And you rock, but you knew that.

I am pretty consistently amazed that you've got hardly anybody here reading you, and I'm torn between wanting the whole World to and wanting to keep you as my little secret. I'll happily share you with the World though, cos then I can say "I knew her when".

Only problem is, my company site, you know, the one that I write on for a living... doesn't get shit for traffic either. So, there you go. I'll find a way to funnel more love this way though, sister, you better believe it.
